Jumping Squat Exercise (How to) demonstration by Determined Results Fitness
Exercise Name: Jumping Squats
Primary Muscle: Quads
Secondary Muscles: glutes, hamstring, calf
Level: Intermediate
Body Segment: Lower
Form Cues:
• Stand up straight with feet shoulder-width apart and chest up.
• Squeeze shoulder blades together to help keep your back straight.
• Inhale as you bend your knees, sitting your hips back until they are below your knees.
• Pause briefly at the bottom of the movement, then exhale while you press into the ground with the balls of your feet to lift your body up and jump as high as possible.
• As you land, push your hips back and drop back down into a squat, then repeat the exercise.
