Squat Hold Exercise (How To) Demonstration by Determined Results Fitness

Exercise Name: Squat Holds
Primary Muscle: Quads
Secondary Muscles: Glutes, hamstrings
Level: Intermediate
Body Segment: Lower

Form Cues:
• Keep your chest up and squeeze shoulder blades together to hold your back straight.
• Ensure feet are shoulder-width apart.
• Inhale as you bend your knees and sit back with your hips.
• Continue down until your hips are below your knees.
• At the bottom of the movement, hold this position for one minute.
• Exhale as you push your feet into the ground to straighten your legs and extend hips back to the starting position.
• You may cross your arms or hold them straight out during the movement.
