2012.06.29 “Obstacles don’t have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don’t turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it.” Michael Jordon
-Hear it from MJ that walls will happen, expect them, prepare for them. What that means is don’t be discouraged when your weight stops dropping or your belly is still there. A few small changes could be the difference. You will have to dig deep and find the will win. Think back to WHY you are working out, what your goal means to you. Crush that wall!
2012.06.28 “Self-determination is fine but needs to be tempered with self-control.”
-Determination with direction is the idea. Know what you do and what to avoid. If you cannot control your actions, your will power, or environment it might set you up for failure. Follow your training regiment. You can choose to control your actions, if you do not then you will unconsciously be influenced by others and your environment.
2012.06.27 A failure establishes only this, that our determination to succeed was not strong enough.” Christian Nestell Bov?e
-T When you miss your measurement goal for body fat percentage, fat loss, or muscle gain, it just means you have other things higher in priority than fitness. Assess your priorities again and if you really want to achieve your goal then rank fitness higher.
2012.06.26 I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward.” Thomas Alva Edison
-Thomas Edison never gave up, he would fail over and over again until he succeeded. The difference here is he didn’t have a plan that works. Many people have failed before you in fitness, that’s why we have all this science that makes up your fitness plan. Follow it and you will not fail, you will succeed. There is no guessing, just faith.
2012.06.25 “Decision and determination are the engineer and fireman of our train to opportunity and success.”Burt Lawlor
-It really starts with a decision to commit to fitness. You cannot be committed to the fitness if you haven’t given up the habits that make you unfit. Anyone can make that decision, but the successful ones are those that commit to living up to that decision everyday through their actions. Prove it to yourself and everyone else!
